Summary

From the award-winning author of Princess Princess Ever After comes The Tea Dragon Society, a charming all-ages book that follows the story of Greta, a blacksmith apprentice, and the people she meets as she becomes entwined in the enchanting world of tea dragons。

After discovering a lost tea dragon in the marketplace, Greta learns about the dying art form of tea dragon care-taking from the kind tea shop owners, Hesekiel and Erik。 As she befriends them and their shy ward, Minette, Greta sees how the craft enriches their lives—and eventually her own。

7+ Super cute read。 I thought it was way too short! I just wanted it to keep going。 The friendship between Greta and Minnette was adorable。 Loved the wheelchair rep for Eric。 However the artwork is the real star of the show。 It just makes you feel as if your right there with them。

Kirti

Enchanting illustrations and a sweet story for grades 3。 The story ends just as things begin to happen。。。should have been a little longer。

This was literally so cute!! I want a tea dragon! I am currently trying to figure out whether my dog (Coconut) is more like a Chamomile tea dragon or a Hibiscus tea dragon…

Super cute story!

This book is gorgeous and fun and deep all at once, and if I had any complaints at all, it would be that it's too short。 Inclusive, smart, great for any age。 Love, love, loved it。 This book is gorgeous and fun and deep all at once, and if I had any complaints at all, it would be that it's too short。 Inclusive, smart, great for any age。 Love, love, loved it。 。。。more

2。5 stars。 There's cute art, cute dragons, and that's about it。 No real story besides a few flashbacks, no character development or arcs, no exploration of any themes。 It's better if you go into it not expecting a story, but even with that in mind it didn't do a lot for me。 2。5 stars。 There's cute art, cute dragons, and that's about it。 No real story besides a few flashbacks, no character development or arcs, no exploration of any themes。 It's better if you go into it not expecting a story, but even with that in mind it didn't do a lot for me。 。。。more

THIS BOOK? So cute and lovely and so much heart。 Queer without announcing itself as queer, which I appreciate as a change in pace。 Incredible art and endearing characters。 Will absolutely be checking out other stuff from the creator! Also, I wonder if there are tea dragon plushies。。。。。。 I would absolutely get one ASAP!!EDIT: THERE ARE PLUSHIES AND ALSO PINS!

Emilie

Its obvious i am not the demographic, but i still think it would be more enjoyable if it were longer and it felt quite empty。 I didn’t care about the struggles of the characters, they were just thrown into the story in an attempt to make them seem deep。 I liked the art though。

Fifi Kamara

Literally adorable , must have a physical copy。

***review created as test for adding to a group***This is a middle grade graphic novel that we had in our media center。 I thought the dragons looked cute and I saw merch that I WANTED, so I read it。 It is slow paced, and sweet, and has great diversity and LGBTQIA+ representation。 Due to it being fantasy, different races of people (or species as we would see it) have romances。 The main characters are a brown, half goblin half human girl and she has an interest in an unidentified but not human fem ***review created as test for adding to a group***This is a middle grade graphic novel that we had in our media center。 I thought the dragons looked cute and I saw merch that I WANTED, so I read it。 It is slow paced, and sweet, and has great diversity and LGBTQIA+ representation。 Due to it being fantasy, different races of people (or species as we would see it) have romances。 The main characters are a brown, half goblin half human girl and she has an interest in an unidentified but not human female。 The older characters that teach them about tea dragons are a disabled human male and a male Sylke, which is a non-human and more goat or something looking race of people in this world, and they are in a relationship。 There are 2 more books in the series as well! 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 I just read the Tea Dragons Society, it was disappointing, I thought it’d be more focused on the dragons and the interesting tid bits about them and the friendships they had with their owners and friends。 I would’ve been interested to see the main character work a long time to get her pet to trust her and I read the third book does that so I’m interested and excited to read it! This was so cute! And diverse! And gorgeous in every way! I'm not usually a fan of graphic novels (I'm SO sorry), but this was just beautiful and I'd love to continue on with the series。 Thank you so much, Courtney, for gifting it to me =D This was so cute! An unutterably wholesome and entirely adorable fantasy in which a small, industrious goblin learns to care for even smaller dragons from whom a particularly choice tea can be gently harvested。 The art style is nothing alike, but the general loveliness and light of it all recall the most soothing end of Ghibli, except with even lower stakes (which is not remotely a criticism)。

Valen Murguia

This is so cute 😭。 I’m overwhelmed and now I need more

Erin Newton

Cutest little dragons ever! These illustrations are just darling。 I was a little confused by the storyline and character development but this will likely make more sense as I continue with the series。
